5 (Non-Drink) Ways To Use Our Elixirs

Did you know our elixirs can go beyond hot drinks? While there's nothing quite like a steaming mug of Salted Hot Chocolate or the frothiness of our Coconut Creamer in your morning coffee, the tasty blend of healthy fats and protein from grass fed collagen found in all of our elixirs can add a nutritious boost to all sorts of foods.

Below are a few of our favourite ways to get creative, many inspired by our lovely customers who are always finding unique and delicious ways to use our blends!

1. Oatmeal

Any flavour of elixirs will make your oatmeal super creamy and delicious, while also making it much more filling and satiating! It's an easy way to make sure you're getting some collagen in your routine as well as healthy fats that will keep your energy and focus levels up throughout the day.

I love giving my oatmeal a boost from our elixirs so that it keep me full right through until lunch time. My favourite flavour combinations for oats are our Salted Hot Chocolate with raspberries or strawberries added in (like healthy dessert for breakfast!) or our Coconut Creamer with cinnamon, banana, and blueberries. Hearty and nutritious!

2. Smoothies

Smoothies can be a convenient way to get some extra servings of fruits and vegetables in to your day. If you want to take your smoothies from a light snack to something that will actually fill you up and keep you going longer, balance them out with the addition of fats and protein! A couple of spoonfuls of our elixirs is a great way to do this, while also adding a lovely creamy flavour.

It will also help to keep your blood sugar levels more balanced, resulting in better moods and energy levels. I also love adding things like ground flax seeds or hemp hearts to my smoothies.

If you're using frozen produce in your smoothies, blend everything well before adding your elixirs. This will ensure that our coconut-based elixirs don't harden before they can mix with all the other ingredients.

I personally love using our Turmeric Latte in my smoothies with frozen banana, oat milk, and spinach for a lightly sweet, lightly spiced, green smoothie, with lots of anti-inflammatory benefits. You can also check out this blog post for a Chocolate Rasberrry Smoothie using our Salted Hot Chocolate.

3. Chia Pudding

Chia pudding makes a great breakfast or snack and is full of fibre, making it surprisingly filling! It's also great if you're prone to constipation, just be sure to drink lots of water throughout the day if you're adding extra fibre to your diet.

To add a creamy base to your chia pudding, blend 2 tbsp chia seeds with 2 tbsp of elixir, sweetener of your choice, and 1/2 cup hot water (this will melt the elixir and help the chia pudding set faster.) Mix well and place in a covered container in the fridge. Let it set, stirring once in a while, for at least an hour before serving, or overnight. Top with fruit and enjoy!

4. Stuffed Dates

This is a super easy and insanely delicious snack. The key here is to make sure you have nice and sweet, juicy dates. I recommend buying fresh medjool dates - they are the sweetest and tastiest!

To prepare them, slice open a date, remove the pit, and add a small spoonful of our Salted Hot Chocolate. Let them set in the fridge for 10 minutes if you like, or just enjoy right away! Yum.

5. Energy Balls

Energy balls are easy to make and are great for keeping in the fridge or freezer for a filling snack. You could use any flavour of our elixirs to make energy balls, but for some inspiration, check out this recipe for Turmeric Spice Energy Balls. These are easy to modify and switch up the flavours, so use this recipe as a guide and mix it up from there!

Let us know if you have any favourite ways to use our elixirs that didn't make this list - ya'll truly are the greatest inspiration!
